How to process your emotions when you don't have time to deal with them
Women are more stressed than ever before. We’re busy, we’re bustling, we’re caring, we’re connecting. But something feels off. Our usually independent, capable selves are somehow struggling to feel good. We aren’t as energetic as we used to be. We feel like we are always pushing our emotions aside because we don’t have time to deal with them. We feel anxious on a Saturday. And we are a little annoyed that we aren’t bouncing back and “handling” things like we usually do.
What most people don’t realise is that as our conscious mind becomes bogged down with all the busyness and scheduling and planning and coping, it hands over control to the sub-conscious mind.
This is where we store programming from the past. This is the part of us that reacts with anger to a fleeting comment, that feels insecure despite the actions of our ever-loving husband, or that makes poor choices despite our desire for something greater.
With neural processors 1 million times more powerful than the conscious mind, it’s actually the sub-conscious part of our mind that is running our lives and making decisions for us… 95% of the time!
That’s why our conscious minds can confidently say “I’ve got this” or “I’m going to change”, but the outcome is frustratingly different…it’s driven by all the underlying stories, experiences and belief systems, often ones we aren’t even aware of.
Because the mind and body are intricately interwoven, I make use of techniques that work energetically to speak to the subconscious. In this way, we clean out the underlying debris that’s getting in the way of your wellbeing.
Coaching sessions help us process things at a conscious level and empower us to make changes in our lives. Energy alignment sessions help us process things at a sub-concious level so that the changes take place at the same deep level they were created.
This powerful combination equips us for change and leaves us feeling lighter, freer and more aligned with our true selves.
Frequently Asked Questions:
How will the sessions be carried out?
Sessions are carried out remotely between your coaching calls. I’ll send you an email summary of what came up in the session and if necessary, we can hop on a quick call to discuss. And if you’ve booked a face-to-face session, you can always add an energy alignment session on to your usual coaching session.
How does a distance session work?
If I was working with you face-to-face, I’d be using your arm to muscle test for responses. Essentially what I’m doing is tuning into your energy and using the muscle response just as a tool. When we’re not together, I’m still tuning in to your energy, I’m just using my own arm as the way of accessing the information. We’re all essentially part of one big energy field anyway.
Is it safe?
BodyTalk and all the complimentary modalities I use are 100% safe. The techniques are gentle and non-invasive and work with whatever the body is dealing with at the time, which means it’s also okay if you’re on any medication.
Is this linked to a spiritual belief system?
The results of this approach are completely independent of specific spiritual or religious belief systems. I work with people of all cultural and religious backgrounds and encourage people to pursue a path that works best for them.
How quickly can I expect results?
Most people will notice a change of sorts after a single session, but will start to experience more significant shifts after 3-5 sessions. If you’ve been living with a chronic condition for decades, it may ofcourse take longer.
How often will I need sessions?
I use muscle testing at the end of each session to determine the appropriate timing for a follow up. In acute situations, a follow up may be required within a few days. Sometimes 5 or 6 weeks are needed for the body to fully integrate the changes. For overall maintenance and to experience benefits beyond “crisis management”, I recommend a balance every 4-6 weeks.
Are there any side effects?
No. Some people can feel a little tired or “out of it” directly after the session. In some cases, the couple of days after the session can feel a bit off, especially if processing something emotional. Just make sure to drink lots of water to help integrate the changes in your system.
